DAY 1: ARRIVAL & INTRODUCTION TO PONDICHERRY

Upon your arrival at Pondicherry, you will be warmly greeted by a "Journey Guru" representative who will transfer you to your hotel. After checking in and settling into your accommodation, you can spend some leisure time exploring the local surroundings or relax at the hotel. In the afternoon, take a short nature walk around the area to get acquainted with the local flora.

DAY 2: VISIT TO OUSTERI LAKE & PONDICHERRY WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

Begin your day with a delicious breakfast before heading to Ousteri Lake, a beautiful freshwater lake located just outside the city. The lake is a haven for birdwatchers, with a variety of migratory and resident bird species, including herons, egrets, and kingfishers. Enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the lake as you observe the diverse birdlife.

DAY 3: EXPLORE AUROVILLE & SERENITY BEACH

After a refreshing breakfast, head to Auroville, an international township known for its unique community, sustainable living practices, and spiritual atmosphere. Explore the Auroville Botanical Gardens, where you can discover a wide variety of plants, trees, and flowers. You can also visit the Matrimandir, the soul of Auroville, and learn about its eco-friendly initiatives and environmental conservation efforts.

DAY 4: VISIT TO THE VILLUPURAM MANGROVE FORESTS & DEPARTURE

After an early breakfast, embark on a trip to the Villupuram Mangrove Forests, located about an hour’s drive from Pondicherry. These protected wetlands and mangrove forests are home to a rich variety of flora and fauna, including crabs, birds, and marine species. A guided walk through the forest will provide you with an opportunity to observe the mangrove ecosystem and learn about its critical role in coastal protection and biodiversity.
