Day wise Itinerary

05 NIGHTS & 06 DAYS

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN SANDAKAN & SEPILOK ORANGUTAN CENTRE

Arrive in Sandakan and transfer to the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. Witness rescued orangutans in their natural habitat and learn about conservation efforts. Later, visit the Sun Bear Conservation Centre before checking in at a jungle lodge for an overnight stay.

DAY 2: KINABATANGAN RIVER SAFARI

Embark on a boat safari along the Kinabatangan River, one of Borneo’s most diverse ecosystems. Spot proboscis monkeys, pygmy elephants, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Enjoy a night jungle walk to observe nocturnal wildlife.

DAY 3: DISCOVER THE DANUM VALLEY

Travel deep into the Danum Valley Conservation Area, a pristine rainforest home to clouded leopards, gibbons, and rare plant species. Trek through the jungle, visit ancient Kadazandusun burial sites, and enjoy breathtaking views from the canopy walk. Overnight stay at an eco-lodge.

DAY 4: RAINFOREST EXPLORATION & NIGHT SAFARI

Experience a morning trek to spot wildlife in their natural habitat. Enjoy a refreshing dip in a jungle river, then embark on a night safari drive for a chance to see civets, slow lorises, and flying squirrels. Stay overnight in Danum Valley.

DAY 5: MOUNT KINABALU NATIONAL PARK & HOT SPRINGS

Transfer to Mount Kinabalu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a short trek in the park, discovering rare orchids, pitcher plants, and exotic birds. Relax at Poring Hot Springs, known for its therapeutic waters. Stay overnight at a lodge near the park.

DAY 6: DEPARTURE FROM KOTA KINABALU

Spend your final morning at Tanjung Aru Beach or explore local markets for souvenirs before transferring to Kota Kinabalu International Airport for departure.
